The National Redress Scheme is a way for organisations who have joined the Scheme to acknowledge and provide support to people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse. We want you to know, you are not responsible for what happened to you and you are not alone. Applying for the Scheme could be a positive step to overcoming trauma and healing.
You can get help if;
- You experienced sexual abuse at an organisation (like a school, foster care home, camp, sports group, or residential unit),
- the abuse happened before you turned 18,
- you are an Australian Citizen or permanent resident, and
- you will turn 18 before 30 June 2028.
