CREATE CEO, Jacqui Reed on Radio National

 

CREATE’s own CEO Jacqui Reed appeared on Radio National on 11th March 2015 speaking about CREATE’s concerns relating to the Royal Commission hearings into out-of-home care.

The Royal Commission into Child Sexual Abuse will be looking into Australia’s out-of-home-care institutions.

CREATE feel that the Royal Commission has failed by only relying on government departments and large organisations and not the children and young people themselves to provide evidence to the hearing. The decision not to include an independent body, CREATE views as a mistake.

CREATE believes it is a missed opportunity not to have organisations involved such as CREATE who directly represent children and young people in out-of-home-care.
